Conversations @ KWENCH Females in Professional Sports: Challenges and Achievements

Come join us Thursday, June 30th from 4:30 - 6:00 pm, for an empowering Conversations @ KWENCH event. Our host Tessa will be joined by incredible women of sports. It will be aired on Feisty Women's Performance Podcast discussing their experiences as females in professional sports.Sara Gross has her PhD in Women's History and is the founder and CEO of Feisty Media. She also competed as a professional triathlete for 14 years winning two major championships and two Ironman titles in that time.Ellen Pennock competed in triathlon at the 2013 U23 World Championships, the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and the 2015 Pan American Games. Then in 2017 Ellen guided for Paralympian Jess Toumela, competing together in the World Championships that year. Now she is the assistant triathlon coach for Team BC who will be competing in the 2022 Canada Summer Games.Charity Williams is a Canadian rugby sevens player, who in 2016 was named to Canada’s first ever women’s sevens Olympic team. Charity and her teammates Pam Buisa and Caroline Crossley, represent the national women’s sevens team on the Rugby Canada Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour Working Group.Lucy Smith competed at an international level in distance running, duathlon and triathlon for over 30 years earning three University Championship Gold medals, 19 National Championship titles, and two Silver World Championships Medals. Now she coaches, mentors and helps build motivational programs.
